Lee Chin Siow (Traditional Chinese:蕭麗君, Simplified Chinese: 萧丽君), a Singaporean violinist, is a Professor of Violin and the Director of Strings at the College of Charleston, South Carolina. She is highlighted in The Strad Magazine as "the first Singaporean to win multiple gold medals internationally, the first Singaporean to study at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia and the first Singaporean violinist to combine a solo career with a tenured faculty position abroad".〔"Singapore Strings",The Strad,Voice for the String Music World Since 1890,June 2011〕 Lee Chin’s debut CD Songs My Father Taught Me was picked for Fanfare Magazine’s 2009 Want List: “This is artistry of the highest level".〔Fanfare, Nov/Dec 2009 p.80〕 Lee Chin’s live performances have been broadcast on CBS Sunday Morning, National Public Radio, China Central TV, Singapore’s MediaCorp TV and the Voice of America.
